Dr. Minu Ipe is the Managing Director and Vice Chair of the University Design Institute (UDI) at Arizona State University.  At UDI, Minu brings her expertise in organizational design, leadership and culture to partner with higher education leaders to co-design solutions that enable universities to be more relevant, successful and sustainable. She manages UDI’s global engagements with 66 universities in 20 countries to advance innovative designs across these institutions. As an Advisor to the President at ASU, Minu leads large-scale design initiatives that strengthen ASU’s capacity for innovation and long-term impact. They include the redesign and transformation of academic units, university-wide leadership development and multiple efforts to strengthen a culture of innovation. Minu’s track record includes initiatives at the intersection of business and academia, academic program leadership, and four years as ASU’s Knowledge Enterprise Architect. She is also a faculty member at the W.P. Carey School of Business.

Professor of Practice, W. P. Carey School of Business

May Busch is a Senior Advisor and Executive in Residence in the Office of the President. Additionally, she serves as Professor of Practice at the W.P. Carey School of Business at ASU where she lectures on leadership, and works on interdisciplinary initiatives across the university with an emphasis on leadership, entrepreneurship and enhancing the engagement between business and academia. She chairs The Idea Enterprise™, a program for bringing experienced business leaders to ASU to help turn its best ideas into forces for change in the world. May also sits on the steering committee of The Leadership Academy, a program that trains emerging leaders at ASU to increase the university’s capacity so that it may deliver on the promise of a New American University. Through her consulting practice, May Busch & Associates, she offers workshops, keynotes, consulting and executive coaching to high-potential and high-performance leaders and their teams with a focus on leadership development, career success and organizational strategy. Prior to this, May had a 24-year career in investment banking, most recently as COO of Morgan Stanley Europe.

Chelsea Chamberlain is the Assistant Director, Leadership and Design Initiatives for the University Design Institute at Arizona State University. UDI aims to design solutions to transform higher education and to more fully achieve the vision and goals of the ASU Enterprise. One of Chamberlain's two main focuses for UDI is her work in ASU leadership initiatives and efforts. In an effort to design and build the ASU leadership ecosystem, she helped to design and continues to help run the Leadership Network. In addition to managing and running ALI, she also helps design and run the Launching Leaders Program (LLP), which is a program that is run out of the Office of the Provost designed for faculty who hold newly appointed administrative roles and launched in 2018. From 2014-2016 Chamberlain also managed the Leadership Academy

Chamberlain's other main focus for UDI is in her work on design initiatives and efforts. Since its pilot in November 2012, she runs and operates The Idea Enterprise™ - a unique service that brings together experienced business leaders with ASU’s faculty and staff with big ideas to help advance them into action in bigger and faster ways, under the direction of May Busch, Executive in Residence and Senior Advisor to President Crow. Most recently, Chamberlain has taken over the Frank Rhodes Lecture Series, which UDI absorbed into its portfolio in December 2019. FRLS aims to challenge the current constructs of higher education and disrupt the educational and cultural landscape by bringing thought-provoking leaders who can help redefine the space by sharing their visionary ideas and outlook. Chamberlain is responsible for the redesign and relaunch of the program.

 Prior to joining UDI, Chamberlain worked for ASU Parking and Transit Services. She holds a BA in Communications from ASU and a MA in Strategic Public Relations from the George Washington University.

Loni Roe is the Project Manager of Leadership Programs for the University Design Institute (UDI) at Arizona State University (ASU). In this role, Loni leverages her rich background in strategic project management and program design to orchestrate holistic program strategies while overseeing the day-to-day operations associated with the UDI portfolio of Leadership Development programs. Her expertise lies in crafting innovative approaches to enhance strategic initiatives.

Before joining UDI, Loni served as Event Manager, Special Projects & Strategy for the Knowledge Enterprise. In this role, she oversaw a diverse portfolio of projects and events aimed at advancing research, innovation, entrepreneurship, and partnerships at ASU. Notably, she also led key initiatives to enhance operational efficiencies within the Events Team, contributing to the successful scaling of event support and resources within the Knowledge Enterprise. Loni’s professional journey also includes several years in finance operations at the Vanguard Group, where she also spearheaded various professional development initiatives. It was during this period that she honed her ability to strategize and design impactful programs, showcasing a distinctive aptitude for merging audience-driven approaches with data analytics to enhance program effectiveness and impact.

Loni is a graduate of ASU’s W.P. Carey School of Business with a Bachelor’s in Business (communication).
